Hallo everyone, this is the point. We didn't find an E17 theme developer and quaker is helping on this too but themes will only be ready in some time. We concentrated A LOT in a HUGE work in coding enlightenment itself, even if this means a lot of other distros are going to come out with our work on them, using our repos, and pretending that this is their work...
No matter what, we needed E to be better. It's not yet ready. It won't for a long time of course and we all know it. But in September we should have an alpha, and maybe in December the final release! This is largely thanks to our developer team. Sergey S. developed TONS OF LINES OF CODE in the e17 file manager. With our next repos upgrade, try it, it's now very nice, very similar to a real full featured file manager like thunar. This was a milestone for the E17 development, it would have never been possible to reach alpha stage (still to be reached though) without the file manager fully working. We're still adding new features because the E17 team thinks it is already more than completed but we think it won't untill it will become as good as finder in OSX.
Hannes J. created the incredibly great Everything module, integrated with tracker's search engine. It's like Gnome Do on steroids. You'll get it with the next upgrade (pair of days quaker tells me)...
Quaker created tons of things. Just think he's been the top coder of the enlightenment theme for August

(number of coded lines and many other parameters are considered)
He heavily contributed to the creation of elementary, the new E17 toolkit which will change its face for ever, ETK is being moved to old and ewl is going out of enlightenment becoming a separate efl-based toolkit with different goals!
We are really revolutioning things as I dreamed this project was going to. No other team is contributing this much to E17, believe me. And quaker created another monster too: Shellementary. Zenity for Elementary. This means easy scripting with graphical GUI as a result.
Now he's creating a new tool to manage configurations and updates, we won't rely on Ubunut's tools anymore soon

What to say about the great MadnessMike... his work on the themes manager is amazing, you'll see, sharing themes will be great. And we can control any aspect of the customization with ease now.
Victor, a new comer in the team, is working on shelves to fix the positioning of gadgets. And he's working on a better positioning of modules in EFM too, these are crucial tasks for E17 and very ahrd to accomplish, no one wanted to do this work.
Believe me boys we really had to work a LOT and we did a great work I think.
The point now is this. In October Karmic will be out. We need some work yet on this version of opengeu even if the new upgrade's gonna pratically be more than beta stage.. so, the big question is, assuming that we are keeping creating packages for Jaunty etc..
Since we already have testing packages for Karmic and are going to work on them too, should we release the new OpenGEU on this platform only (talking about the live CD) and release only packages for jaunty? This would be good for us for many reasons.
1) Jaunty had kernel problems with slow and buggish drivers, etc.
2) We are so late that only one month's left from Karmic
3) we have the opportunity to get out with a Karmic release IN TIME..
That's the poll! Please vote and express your opinions.
