Take as long as you need.  (Did I just say that? Grin)
But seriously, there's no harm in taking a break.

Perfect Smiley If everything goes as planned and the new version will be released today, it would be the perfect bday present for me  Grin
And if not, it'll be a nice late bday present Grin
Anyway. Thanks for the amazing distro Smiley

don't worry it works fine Smiley
We will upgrade it though in a day or two because of Echomorph. Ah, did you try it? If you do, while you wait for the geutheme upgrade, please deactivate dropshadow and any other composite manager. The new Geutheme will do it for you Wink
Ah, as for the themes... Luna Serena, as I said somewhere before, is just an evolution of Luna Crescente for Intrepid. Luna Serena and Luna Crescente are the same at all means (Hardy and Intrepid version of OpenGEU are Identic, only thing changing is the base the distro is built on, that is, where the packages are installed), so, there's no new official theme planned for Luna Serena. Even if we had tons of new things from the first release of Luna Crescente, this version is not a major release. Quarto di Luna will be a major release. And you are gonna like it, really really a lot, I believe Smiley
I hope it will be the best OpenGEU ever by a veeeeeeery large degree. Well, you'll see, we are already working on it while we finish things up for Luna Serena... that is, some core components of Quarto di Luna are in Luna Serena, you can say Luna Serena was an experimentation playground for Quarto di Luna Wink

Only if you have a working 3D card and driver.
And after you try it, please put some info about echomorph into wikipedia if you can Smiley

so I did the upgrade, too

1. no entry for shutdown or restart the system in the menu - ther is an entry under enlightenment but then gdm appears and another klick is needed (or shutdown-command at the terminal) - please bring back the menu-entry

2. still dislike the layout of the new settings manager - an its really slow on my system ...

3. tried ecomorph - did not find where to configure it ...

4. in extra menu (OpenGEU) now only "Dokumantation" and "Preferences" are left Huh

5. no OpenGEU-splashscreen while booting up the system

6. everytime a pop-up at system boot which tells me, that my network is now conected - did not find where to disable

7. Mount Error at every start of e17: "Can't mount device - org.freedesktop.HAL.Device.PermissionDeniedByPolicy - org.freedesktop.hal.storage.mount-fixed auth_admin_keep_always" - but as I can see all my devices are mounted correctly Huh

Maybe still a bit work has to be done on 8.10 ...

Sorry for not quoting properly, I don't have the time to do it.

1) Sure there is, look better. Menu, System. The last entry on the buttom.
2) I don't like it either, it's from E17, we didn't change it that way, we follow E17, we have to keep it, simple as that. You where not talking about geutheme, where you?
3) In the new geutheme I'll upload in some hours.
4) I think it's Documentation. And yes, they are the only left, since there's the new Settings menu! Settings, System, you'll find everything you needed.
5) Right, Quaker's compiling it while we talk, will be online today with the new geutheme.
6) Don't have a clue, it's not about OpenGEU I guess.
7) See above.

Well, some where actual problems that are to be solved today, others are not. Any other doubt? I need Luna Serena to be rock solid before I release the iso.

ah, and don't choose standard in profile. Since you did, please run the OpenGEU-default-configurations manager from Menu --> Settings --> System and choose to restore the default OpenGEU settings (firsth option). Our menu and configs will be back.

No its not there - the last entry is "settings" - when i load the standard-profile the System entry is there but not the OpenGEU-entry ...
