It's not like I don't like this.. it would be fine, I guess. The problem is that for now there are many, many new things we are trying to complete and achieve.. the biggest problem and priority for now, for example, is we have no repo anymore!
A thing monitoring the local time, would be a daemon. Or a module acting like a daemon. It would surely affect a little the eprformance, since it would always have to stay in background.. but only a little, of course. So no need for on off switch. Because you can just choose whether to load or unload this module

So we'll definitely make it in the future. Just give us some time, we have so many things we'd like to do and so few developers and money

For example, as many of you may know, I'm investing now the money I got from donations to complete the coding of the Enlightenment File Manger, which will give us a faster file manager, directly integrated in E17, with native desktop icons and more, so much more. Plus, this will incredibly speed up the release of the final E17 version. EFM is a show stopper right now.
