Recently, I have downloaded soad linux,which is based on e17 :

http://sda.scwlab.com/soad_linux.htmlIt is based on Opensuse. But the interest of this distribution is that the default configuration are really interesting, and might be worthy of attention for the development team of Opengeu.
Especially, I think the use of tint2 is a good idea.
During the configuration of the profile, I suggest choosing soad sedation.
Also, take a look at /usr/share/enlightenment/data, the backgrounds I pretty good, maybe you pick one for the next release of opengeu. And maybe the use of the module slideshow by default might be a good idea.
