Question for y'all


I'm running the Beta on a 1680X1050 monitor on my desktop (normal native resolution).  When I use my scroll wheel over the title-bar, to minimize the full window to just the titlebar, I get really slow framerates (I can count it to about 2-3 frames/second) with maximized windows.

With smaller windows the framerates are a bit better.


I've tried this on an ATI 1900XTX card with 512MB DDR3 (500mHz core, 600 mHz memory) memory I have laying around with the really terrible ATi drivers; as well as an overclocked Nvidia 8500GT which is much newer, has higher clock speeds (650mHz core, and 750mHz memory, better drivers, but 256 MB DDR3 memory....and I get the same results.  Processor is a 3.2gHz AMD6400+ on 2GB 800 mHz memory.  So I don't think it is my system that is lacking 

GPU settings (antialiasing etc etc) does not change anything

I have drop shadow and Bling modules running.....the drop shadow "blur type" seems to control how slow the frame rate is "Very Sharp" gets more like 7-10 frames/second but "Very Fuzzy" gets maybe 2 frames/second.

This problem can't be noticed on the Modules control panel (good frame rate)....but it happens in Firefox (GTk) and Opera (Qt3) as much as it does to Thunar



Yes, I'm being picky  -and yes, this is my only gripe about how things look  excellent work otherwise!
