How the development works
(1/1)
InTiLinuX:
Geubuntu, for its development, takes advantage of the instruments offered from InTiLinuXProjects like repo svn, deb or instruments like git and Bazaar in order to plan in an efficient and collaborative way the development of the distribution.
The development is made with the community that, with its proposals, can actively contribute and participate to the development of the software project related to the distribution.
Here is shortly how the development works:
Each user, suggests a functionality that, in his opinion, would be very useful, or even missing, in Geubuntu, creating a topic of this kind:
[Suggestion] projectname
Inside of the topic, the user will explain in a very detailed way its proposal.
At this point the community will discuss about the proposal and, if it will be considered interested and if there are the adequate resources in order to develop it (programmers, instruments etc) the proposal will start to be developed using the instruments offered by InTiLinuXProjects (read the FAQ)
The official discussion of the development, where the developers and anybody else will be able to discuss about the project, will be inserted in one childboad called “projectname” inside of the Developer forum!”
The development will be started in an SVN repo reachable at the following address:
http://svn.intilinux.com/geubuntu
http://viewvc.intilinux.com/viewvc.cgi/geubuntu/
All of the projects in current development will be inserted inside of the repo (ordered by folders). The users with writing access to the svn repos will be chosen during the discussion of the project (the users willing to have writing access rights to the repos will have to send a private message to InTiLinuX or to DarkMaster).
After that work, if the discussed project is a deb package, it will be inserted into the geubuntu repo, reachable at this addrees:
http://repo.intilinux.com/geubuntu
The most interesting projects and suggestions will be underlined in the Developer forum.
Good work!
Geubuntu needs help from all of you in order to grow, you can contribute too!
