Being able to work/save at different pixel sizes
« on: March 11, 2011, 12:36:28 pm »
I have lots of fun using this program.

I would like to being able to set up in properties when creating a new art, the pixel size (width and height) it shall be. Alternatively, that when I am done with my picture and want to save it in a PNG format I can decide the size of it  (pixels width and pixels hight).

The size step of 64 is imo way to large. I would like to have steps of 8 or why not in steps of 1 (would been perfect). So I can create images of any form and size. That way I can create a PNG icon out of my artwork.  Like saving the picture as a 20*40 pixel PNG file.

PS. Just started using this program.

What you can do for now is to save your work once you have worked with it, and then reopen it in gimp to set and crop the file size you want.
Then reopen it in mypaint if you want to continue to work on your image =).

You can also start by creating a file of the format you want with a frame around it, then open it in my paint.
I think the developpers are working on being able to set this or not in mypaint, just be patient =).

Have a good day !

Thanks, I will try that until devs get a solution for this. :)
