Some timelapses
« on: May 01, 2010, 11:41:34 pm »
Hello I've done some time lapses... I really don't think they are good... but is the best I can do with mouse (it takes so long to get a good stroke that timelapses ends up in more than six hours and have to be speeded up much, and it doesn't look good... and I'm not a good illustrator)

Impressive. But why draw with a mouse? Even a cheap drawing tablet is much better.

So, I've been staring at your post trying to think of the proper way to lecture you on your comment at the end.  Not a good illustrator?  You did that with a mouse.  I get frustrated after 20 minutes of drawing with a tablet and even if I spend more than a few hours on something it turns out only "okay" at best.  I'm not a good illustrator.  You're a dang good one.  Especially with colors, I'm terrible at those.

I'll just assume you're being sarcastic or are similar to me and feel beating yourself down makes you try harder.  Still if I could smack you in the back of the head I would. Sheesh!

Really like the time lapses and the finished pieces are nice.  (if I could do that with a mouse in six hours i'd be extremely happy.  But mouse + me equals the most jagged scribble you've ever seen.)
A hundred people can assail me with rocks until I take my last breath. I will have died but at least I'll be known for something.

Once I had a Genius tablet... but died (electromagnetic field from the microprocessor melted the  signal emiter from the pen... or some like that)... I've saved for that tablet for some time... In some way... getting a tablet is just as easy as getting a job... but is getting hard the second.
And I get frustrated after finishing everyone... Is just that, without job, or a good pc to play games or internet to download anime or porno (and I really hate the outside), drawing and trying to learn programing is the only thing I have to spend my time.
The fourth and for a time I quit boring you.(I get a game that works in my pc... just a few weeks and I'll return to get bored again and draw).

Is it a self-portrait? If so, quit smoking and use the money you save to buy a tablet! :)

Not a self-portrait... I'm a guy... and a bit ugly.
The cigarretes cost about a .45 of dollar (1.70 pesos) It would take me a year or so to buy a tablet...
And I'll be in jail by then because I'm get nervous when I don't smoke

Do you only smoke a cigarette every other day? If not, your numbers don't add up (you can get a nice tablet for about 80USD -> 180 cigarettes). If you do 10 a day, like most of the people I know that smokes on a regular basis, its under 3 weeks ;)
You really should find a real solution for your stated problem with nervousness anyways.

On topic: really great work!

I guess he means that a pack costs $0.45. If there are 20 in each pack, that would be almost exactly one year if he uses 10 a day.

Hi , i see a good potentioal here , so dont be afraid for the quality of your Art. I was drawing long time ago with mouse, in fact i was pixeling (old times) and it is very frustating. good work for a mouse. but man you need a tablet, i hope you get a job. these are hard days.
