Stylus tilt

Why there are no tilt-driven brushes in the default MyPaint package?
Is there exists any brush pack compatible with 1.0 that makes use of tilt?

I don't have a tilt-capable stylus myself, but in current git (and probably 1.0) there are a few in the "classic" pack:

  • classic/marker_fat, classic/marker_small, and classic/blending_knife use the ascension of the stylus relative to the pad to drive the angle of the mark ("Right ascension of stylus tilt. 0 when stylus working end points to you, +90 when rotated 90 degrees clockwise, -90 when rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise.")
  • The classic markers drive the shape of their dabs from the declination ("Declination of stylus tilt. 0 when stylus is parallel to tablet and 90.0 when it's perpendicular to tablet."). The blending_knife dies something I don't understand with its smudge length from that input (presumably flatter=longer)

The "puantilism" and "impressionism" brushes seem to do something too, but that's less understandable from reading the code :) It'd be lovely to see some examples of the different shapes and smears you can get with some of these parameters.

Hi,
Instead of start a new thread, I'll just resurrect this one as I pretty much have the exact same question.

I'm quite interested in tilt-enabled brushes as well; it's why I went with an Intuos =]
I'm setting up a brush-set of ONLY tilt-enabled brushes, and have been working on some of my own to add to it. Aside from the two mentioned, anyone have a list of other tilt-enabled brushes throughout all the available downloadable brushpacks? ... I've been working thru them all, but it's sometimes hard to tell if or how a brush is tilt-enabled without explicitly looking thru all the settings, which is a seriously tedious PITA.  I'm not asking anyone to do this FOR me, just any already-known tilt-enabled brushes.
=D thanks!!

also, a question re: setting up tilt-enabled brushes. When setting the tilt-degree limits in the details-graph, I assume that means the graph is applied within the defined tilt-limits and NOT that the pen simply doesn't read outside the defined limits. I'm finding it can help a bit to not half to hold the pen nearly parallel to the tablet to get the effect I need, but I'm just not sure I'm actually using the parameters "correctly".
