How to increase pixel depth?
« on: June 16, 2010, 07:51:13 pm »
I reached the bottom of the zoom level and id like to go further into detail. Is there a way to do that inside mypaint?

No, not without modifying the source code.
Why do you want to do this?

I've come to a point where every detail I want to flesh out is pixelated. I realize I should have started at a higher zoom level, but you never know how it goes with pictures :). Would be a cool feature in my opinion. Anyway, I guess I have to do that in another program and then re-import it. I hope this is possible.

By the way I love mypaint, awesome program!

Ah, I thought you only wanted to zoom in more.
To make it possible to add more details you will have to resize the picture. This is a feature we are considering to implement in the future, but for now you will need to do it in another program and reimport. For how to do that, see: http://wiki.mypaint.info/Documentation/FAQ#2.1_So_what_application_should_I_use_for_that_then.3F
