I have a suggestion and a problem.

I highly recommend that you guys consider adding an auto-save function to future updates because when I leave the program minimized for long periods of time and then click to bring it up it closes and the picture that I wasted hours trying to construct vanishes. This has happened numerous times and it's extremely disheartening.
Also I'm using Linux Ubuntu if that has anything to do with it.

I use ubuntu as well, but nothing like that has ever happened to me. Besides, doesn't mypaint give you a little dialogue on whether or not to save it?

No it just all of sudden shuts down, I'm just going to save my progress every time I take a break, it's not really a major issue if I'm the only one it's happening to. It just really pissed me off this time, it was a good drawing that I'll probably never draw again due to repetition issues :'(

This happens to me as well. When I keep MyPaint minimized for a few hours, it crashes as soon as I try to unminimize.

I would also recommend an auto-save feature. I'm used to save quite often, but sometimes i forget it and i loose some hours of work, just because something else makes my desktop inreponsible or whatever.
