MyPaint rocks!

Here's a quick character design I did on Animation Forums Network (Spirit Child), partially inspired by the King Crimson song "Moonchild"):

And a a couple of animation tests I did, painted with MyPaint and animated with TVPaint 10. These two apps combined are a wonderful way to do traditional animation styles, especially for painterly & swirly artistic imagery (something vector art can't do!)

1. "Scribble Cel" technique, to simulate flowing water (old school animation technique):

2." Multi-plane camera" (also old school animation technique). I did this one in layers in MyPaint and then exported everything using "Multiple PNG with transparency", which was perfect!

Now, THAT is cool. Some great possibilities with this! Mypaint really does have a lot of potential with these kinds of applications. Great stuff :)
