Can an upgrade be accomplished? Is it easy or hard? :)

It should be possible.  I generally just do a fresh install with my personal files on a backup flashdrive.  The wiki article that might help is here.  That should explain how to update the E17 portion.

1)Update Ubuntu through Update Manager (it should have prompted that there was a new release).
For repositories that didn't update:
2)Type
Code: [Select]
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
in the commandline.
3)Change any remaining Hardy to Intrepid.
