GTK theme development?
« on: May 05, 2009, 05:40:46 am »
2 things...
1)  Were can I go to find a good tutorial/manual on coding gtk themes?  I want to learn how but so far I can't find a good place to start.  Suggestions?

2)  How is the development of the OpenGEU 9.04 themes coming?

Hey bud... I don't have the answers you are looking for... but last night I found some themes on http://www.e17-stuff.org/ that had some neat window borders.  I downloaded a bunch an tried them... and for the most part most seem to still need work with the lool of the menus... but otherwise worked for me.

You can find a tutorial here: http://live.gnome.org/GnomeArt/Tutorials/GtkThemes

Another good way to learn theme coding is examining the gtkrc files inside your favourite themes. (Sometimes they're commented)
