I've "upgraded" my system to Karmic.  When I discovered your site, I added your Karmic repository, so far, so good.  But, when I attempt to install opengeu-desktop, I get three packages that are uninstallable, and Synaptic drops all the changes.

opengeu-desktop:
Depends: opengeu-artwork-usplash  but it is not installable
Depends: opengeu-default-configurations but it is not going to be installed
Depends: opengeu-themes but it is not going to be installed

I take this to mean that the repository isn't yet complete, and that I should wait until it is.  Using the 9.04 repository is quite likely to break things, I imagine.

Can we get a clue when the desktop will be working?

Hi!

I've "upgraded" my system to Karmic.  When I discovered your site, I added your Karmic repository, so far, so good.  But, when I attempt to install opengeu-desktop, I get three packages that are uninstallable, and Synaptic drops all the changes.

Depends: opengeu-default-configurations but it is not going to be installed
Depends: opengeu-themes but it is not going to be installed

The same problem here. The difference is that I installed pure Ubuntu Karmic several days ago and tried to install the opengeu-desktop from Synaptic and from Aptitude afterwards. Both agree on the same problem. Is there something missing in the manual or we have to wait for it to be fixed in the repository?

I guess we are all using 64 bit Karmic. I just learned that all the 64 bit packages are not ready yet. This explains it all. I hope darkmaster and the others will bring us soon the good news of a complete 64 bit repo.

Do you mean installing opengeu-desktop package over Ubuntu 9.10 64 bits? I did it yesterday and i got that error using apt-get install, but if you use aptitude install, it figures out how to install everything (as it says, it install those packages -the ones of the error- at the end)

Now i have opengeu-desktop working quite well Smiley (well, it has few bugs i'm trying to solve... :S)

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
opengeu-desktop: Depends: opengeu-artwork-usplash which is a virtual package.
e17-settings-daemon-config-opengeu: Depends: e17-settings-daemon which is a virtual package.
opengeu-default-configurations: Depends: opengeu-wizard-page which is a virtual package.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

Keep the following packages at their current version:
e17-settings-daemon-config-opengeu [Not Installed]
geutheme [Not Installed]
opengeu-default-configurations [Not Installed]
opengeu-desktop [Not Installed]
opengeu-themes [Not Installed]

Leave the following dependencies unresolved:
catfish recommends slocate
Score is -9865

Accept this solution? [Y/n/q/?]

I prefer to wait a while for a consistent solution, because I don't want to end up with useless opengeu-desktop.
Thanks anyway!
